Kids Cancer Alliance

Indian Summer Camp was founded in 1981 as a joint effort between a group of volunteers in the Lake Cumberland area and the Kentucky Center Program. Their vision was to provide a normal camping experience for children with cancer, a novel idea at the time since there were only five other oncology camps across the country.

Indian Summer Camp has given thousands of brave and amazing kids a reprieve from fighting cancer and a place where they can just be kids. Over the years, Indian Summer Camp has expanded its role to offer more support than just a week long oncology camp. To reflect its broadened scope of support, the organization was renamed Kids Cancer Alliance in 2013.

Kids Cancer Alliance offers Indian Summer Oncology Camp, Sibling Camp, Teen Weekender, Family Retreat, as well as hosts events and offering financial support throughout the year to families battling childhood cancer. All of the programs are designed to help children with cancer and their families have enjoyable, positive experiences, create valuable memories and enhance their quality of life both as individuals and families. As a non-profit organization, Kids Cancer Alliance relies entirely on donations and volunteers to keep its programs completely free of cost for every kid, sibling and family. All of our programs are offered to children and families at NO CHARGE, and they are all designed to help children with cancer and their families have enjoyable, positive experiences, create valuable memories, and enhance the quality of life both as individuals and families. www.kidscanceralliance.org

Shirley’s Way

The average person cannot afford to fight cancer and Shirley's Way, a 501c3 non-profit organization, raises money to help those financially battling cancer. Some cancer patients have to choose between their treatments or food, utilities and housing. Shirley’s Way wants to change that and we want to help. Southwest Center

The Southwest Center was founded in response to the growing need for programs and employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Center has grown to provide a wide variety of community-based services geared towards helping every person live, work and enjoy life in our Louisville community.
